Slammed Fingers

Nathan and I each had a incident last week. I was getting ready in my room when I hear Tyler yell “No!”, a door slams, and I hear Nathan screaming in pain. I take off sprinting like I’ve never sprinted before (completely knowing what I would find) and quickly open Tyler’s door to release poor little Nathan’s fingers from the hinged side of the door. I’m fuming at Tyler but have to get Nathan taken care of (which was actually good because it gave me a chance to calm down before punishment). Last I heard Nathan scream and cry so hard was when he was circumcised, so I could only imagine the kind of pain he was in. His poor little fingers where badly dented, swollen twice the normal size, and quickly turning purple. When I applied Ice he screamed even more, so my next thought was "I need the Lavender and Helichrysum Oil!" I have had Miracles happen with that stuff! I found it and saturated his little fingers in it and held them firmly in my hand. I repeated this over and over until the crying stopped and the swelling started down. I thought for sure his finger nails would fall off despite my experience with how effective Lavender and Helichrysum oil are with healing. I repeated this throughout the day and by the next morning you could not even tell which fingers got slammed in the door! I was completely amazed!!!!

The very next day, (my turn!) I was opening all the windows in our house to let the evening breeze in. One of the windows got stuck diagonally so with all my might I try to straighten it out, but instead, It slammed closed on my fingers! I don’t think I’ve ever screamed so loud in my life!I have a high tolerance of pain and not even child birth made me scream like that! I’m honestly surprised my neighbor didn’t come over to check on me because my boys were in from the backyard in seconds to see what had happened :).
I soon realized why Nathan Screamed with the ice application, that just made needles shoot through my whole hand! Forgoing the ice, I applied the oils on my swollen, throbbing, shaking fingers. They were so beat up that one was cut a bit and bleeding on one side and the other side looked like it was cut under the surface of my nail (very strange). My boys of course were already concerned so I held back the swearing and tears and just hopped around like a dork :). The oils worked just like they did on Nathan! Besides a small, healing, cut on one finger and a small red line where the “under the surface cut" was there is only slight tenderness. It completely skipped the bruising process for both of us and there is no permanent nail damage. I was so glad!!! I wish I did not have to experience that, but now I know exactly how my sweet Nathan felt :( Poor little guy. Not fun! Just one more reason why I love those oils!!!!

Where can I get some of that oil?!? It sounds like I need that because I bang myself up pretty good sometimes. I am glad that you and Nathen didn't have to endure long-term pain.
